SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.

Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

PS That’s just a mock cover!!

Finally – a cookbook!

This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.

Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.

Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….

I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!

Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.

So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂

If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.

I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.

So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).

They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!

Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!

– Nagi x

PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer

I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Dozer sniffing RecipeTin Eats cookbook mock up

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

I’d really like to see a section just for all the sauces, rubs, seasoning mixes, etc that you make.

I would love your cookbook to have a contents page sorted by main ingredient and a list sorted by recipe title? I love it when cook books do this

Congratulations, this is the news I’ve been hoping to hear for ages!!!
I love so many of your recipes but the one that is a total staple in our house is the Truly Crispy Oven Baked Chicken Tenders. Quick, not fried and I make it with gluten-free breadcrumbs…it’s delicious every single time!

Great idea Nagi. I love trying out your recipes – so much flavour. I’d really like some ‘bring a plate for lunch’ ideas to get us out of the sandwiches, quiche and frittata rut. Is it also too much to request some different ideas for nibbles with drinks please? Many thanks for asking us and good luck!

I would buy your cookbook if you only filled it with recipes already on your website. Just to have them all together in a book would be awesome!! I like the idea of “make ahead” notes and your “If you don’t have this, use this instead” that you do now. Seriously, your site is now my 1st go to for recipes!! I used to go to Cook’s Illustrated, Food Network, and others….no more…recipe tin eats is bookmarked on my laptop for quick access!! Any chance your culinary feat might be available for Christmas?!!

I’m so excited that you’re doing a book Nagi – I’d love to be able to share your talent with family and friends. I find all your recipes flow beautifully and are pretty fool proof. I’m a pretty demanding subscriber as I’m a blind person and belong to a group of blind cooks that’r keen about the art. Hedged in by certain barriers, I ask you to try to be aware of expressing instructions in terms of timing, rather than just saying to notice when something changes colour eg. I notice you usuallly do this and that makes it possible to have confidence around the recipe. I and my husband have guide dogs – labs, so I feel quite close to your love of nature. Some cautionary tales on not being taken in by all the over the top superfoods literature. I do so love your honest sharing. In a book you might be able to educate us a bit more on beverages of all kinds. Anything you do will be wonderful. I also love your fish recipes.
With much gratitude for the work you put in.

Can’t wait for the cookbook and will be happy with whatever recipes you include. Important for me is the logic and flow you always achieve in setting out the recipes. Also you consistently manage to come up with great recipes using “normal” ingredients (although I did get a bit lost with the recent green papaya salad … not too many recipes like that in the book please). And a book won’t have videos … I use your videos a lot! Could the book have an e-key to a website of videos?

    Hi Nagi
Please please do a beef Wellington recipe for real people! One that can be prepared in advance, individually portioned and baked to perfection on a midweek school night! I’d buy the book just for this one recipe! Also, your beef cheeks recipe, it’s delicious! Any plans to add peoples names to the cover for gift ideas? 👍

I would like recipes for healthy slices that my husband can take to work with his lunch. Something along the lines of muesli bars but healthier and tasty.
Love all your recipes especially your Creamy Garlic Prawns.
Good luck with the book. Hope it goes well for you.

Dear Nagi.. everything you share with your readers is fantastic. You are the go-to person when it comes to the kitchen and “what’ll we have for dinner tonight?”
You are the Aussie Nigella (only better: shhhhh, but it’s true!)
I love your easy one pot meals, but also your sharing of sophisticated French cuisine, and your sure touch with authentic Asian recipes.
You are so precise in your instructions that it’s hard for home cooks to go wrong.
Congratulations on your book deal. It’ll be a winner.
And don’t leave Dozer out: he’s a best seller in his own right!

I have shared your website with many people and have cooked so many of your recipes with mouthwatering results. Never had failure yet ☺ Gluten free alternatives would be helpful. Maybe some one pan dinners with quick easy preparation for the working families. More Asian selections, you do them so well. Your cakes have been a hit so more in that style. Anything you produce works for me. Looking forward to the cookbook ♥️♥️
