SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.
Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

PS That’s just a mock cover!!
Finally – a cookbook!
This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.
Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.
Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….
I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!
Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.
So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂
If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.
I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.
So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).
They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!
Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!
– Nagi x
PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer
I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

I’ve loved all the recipes I’ve made of yours so I’m beyond excited for an actual coolbook!
There are way too many of your recipes that I love Nagi so I couldn’t possibly name just one or two.
Congratulations!!!!!!
Can’t wait for your new recipe book.
Hi Nagi. Some Gluten Free would be a good thing, I adapt a lot as it is. I hit your recipes about every day. The video’s are a great help for me. Stay well and good luck with your cook book. Oops Our cook book.
I love the information you provide for ingredient and flavour substitutes in recipes. Very handy if can include such suggestions in your book. Recipes for curry bases, sauces, salad dressings, and Asian soups would be fab!
World’s Easiest Yeast Bread recipe – Artisan, NO KNEAD crusty bread. Used this many times now and recommended to others, all positive feed back.
Will you consider gluten free recipes?
Congratulations on your contract and decision! I think it’s great that you want to make a cookbook. I’m all in!
I really think it’s best for you to pick what will be included, but for me, I’d err on the side of more Asian, fewer European recipes. In addition, I’d include Metric and Imperial (British) {the name says it all, yeah?} systems, but metric first. That’s what I use as a foreigner living in Japan. Consider nutrition info, but I don’t think it’s necessary.
Also, I am prepared and happy to make your recipes (I live in Japan, so there are some issues with substitutions) and report to you with the results; but also as an informal proofreader or editor.
I do have credentials in writing for publications. Anyway, I am so excited for you on this project! I am happy to help in any way I can for you.
I look forward to the results! For me, that’s the reward.
I’d love sections for various types cuisine, a pasta section, Asian section. You’re recipes have helped broaden our knowledge of different types of dishes.
Beef Wellington!
Beef Wellington: yes please!
Plus Dozer’s fave treat 🙏
Hi Nagi!
Vietnamese Caramelised Pork for the win!
Nagi this is so exciting, I can’t wait! Please please include plant based options in the book or maybe even just notes on how to make a dish plant based (i.e. suitable alternatives).
Oh WOW!!! I ABSOLUTELY CANT WAIT!
So so excited for you!
My favourite dishes are your:
Beef bourguignon
Pear tart
All of your slow cooked stews

There are so many that I make of yours. I think the only thing I make regularly that you don’t have a recipe for is 1950’s style braised beef stew.
Can we have some mince recipes please & I made the fish cakes that I really liked
Hi Nagi,
How very exciting I can’t wait for it to come out.
How about your pork belly recipe with crackle. Every time I make it, it gets rave reviews and I pass on your website to them.
I second the comment for a Substitute section, it does come in very handy.
Good luck, looking forward to buying a few would make terrific presents.
Love to Dozer
Yay.. can’t wait for the book!!!
Easy stirfry recipes, sauces and accompaniments for good steak, salad ideas, good recipes for ice cream maker, cheesecakes, good veggie dishes and curry recipes are some of what I would love you to feature …good soups n scones n pizzas. Could go on forever..
Whatever you choose, I am sure I will purchase and cook
Love how humble and warm and down to earth you are, Nagi
And love your recipes.❤️🙏
Just last week my boyfriend asked me if there was any way in which I could support you, since I use so many of your recipes. I replied – if you had a cookbook I’d definitely buy it!
My requests would be to include the substitution info that you include online (super helpful for making things spur of the moment) and instructions for making/prepping ahead (useful for dinner parties, your recipes always feature in my dinner parties!).
I was just thinking yesterday that every recipe of yours that I’ve tried has been delicious and easy. Given that I love it all, I can’t really come up with anything new. Perhaps a link to some of the low-calorie recipes?
Regards
Lavinia
I LOVE your beef bourguignon recipe.
Roasted mushrooms
Satay chicken
I could go on all day!
Thanks for all you do.
