SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.

Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

PS That’s just a mock cover!!

Finally – a cookbook!

This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.

Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.

Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….

I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!

Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.

So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂

If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.

I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.

So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).

They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!

Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!

– Nagi x

PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer

I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Dozer sniffing RecipeTin Eats cookbook mock up

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

I’d be honored to cook with you but my only qualifications are inherited and a love of cooking awesome foods! I’m a paralegal by profession but every minute I’m not working is spent recreating
    your Asian recipes.

Where do I start- 95% of everything I’ve cooked from your website has become a favorite. Caramel chicken has to be in there and malfatti. The carrot cake ( and I don’t like carrots) Mongolian lamb. I’ll definitely be buying a copy. I speak of your recipes to everyone. They are easy, tasty, and reproducible. Thank you for letting me enjoy cooking again. Good luck with the book NAGI

Definitely love all your recipes in my house but I love the stroganoff, gravy baked chicken and the oven baked chicken and rice because with a family of 6 it is easy, time friendly and delicious. P.s. deserts and sweets we love the vanilla cake.

I am so, so happy for you – meaningful words fail. There will be a huge amount of travail ahead. After our years ‘together’ I know you will enjoy the hard work and then the result. We are all different and shall genuinely have differing ideas. By no means whatsoever do I want to exclude your huge readership around the world but my heart would so love ‘Australian Fusion Cooking born from its Multiculturalism’ . . . methinks you will understand my vision. All the best beautiful gal !!!

Anything you put in there will be amazing but I especially loved (in order for a dinner party) No Knead Crusty Bread, Slow Cooked Lamb Shoulder, and Bread & Butter Pudding. Plus the Lo Mein noodles are sensational. Your ‘Notes’ have answered so many questions, so many times like for the lamb shoulder – it was like you knew what I was going to ask. Whatever you put in there will be fantastic along with random funnies about Dozer!!! Well done and thanks for the inspiration.

A recipe for sourdough pizza crust. A recipe for kouign Aman.

Lots of recipes for pies, eg Boston cream pie, chocolate silk tart. Also Dan Dan noodles and pippies in XO sauce.

You HAVE to put “the bread” (as we call it at my house) AKA the no knead artisan loaf. It is SENSATIONAL!

The day has finally arrived…awesome news!

You can put whatever recipes and sections you want…you have proven already you know what’s best for us all!

My wishes? Go easy on the photos, put as many recipes and your style of instructions as you can. Scatter your best “hints”, about prepping ingredients, or using tools, whatever, throughout. And if possible…make it a binder so I can remove (and then replace) the pages I need to use!

    Congratulations again!

Your surprise hint that you have a cookbook in the works is the best pandemic news I’ve received here since the US. Your Asian grocery list and Asian recipes deserve a complete section.

I love how you explain the ingredients – what they do, where to buy, and how to substitute. Also how you explain the techniques involved and whether it’s necessary to follow each to the letter. And your explanations of different types of cooking French, Thai,
    Mexican, etc.

Love your recipes and the substitutes are brilliant as I can’t use chilli, lentils, seeds or nuts
Gluten free is better for us too
Any guidance on making gluten free dumplings would be fab
