SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.
Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

PS That’s just a mock cover!!
Finally – a cookbook!
This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.
Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.
Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….
I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!
Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.
So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂
If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.
I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.
So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).
They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!
Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!
– Nagi x
PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer
I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

Omg I love your recipes, they make me look like such a good cook 😂 and the life of Dozer just makes everything so much better! X
I, too, would like to see Gluten and dairy free inclusions. Also, I live on a sailboat for 1/2 of the year during the Northern Hemisphere Summer and early Fall months. It would be great to see more recipes that are quick and easy like the sausage rice dump recipe!
Bloody brilliant Nagi, well done!
My two cents…I think Dozer must definitely feature because he’s an integral part of RTE. I love a cookbook to have sections/chapters such as:
entree, main, dessert; 30min/60min/time doesn’t matter;
Beef/chicken/fish/vegetarian;
Easy/hard/challenging
No matter the concept, recipes or layout, your cookbook will be awesome and real life just like you.
Again, congrats!
This is so exciting! I love all of your recipes and would be excited to see more of your ‘one pan/pot’ recipes. As a mum I am always looking for simple and fast, but delicious dinner ideas.
Congratulations! Can’t wait. Love your recipes and they are often a go to when I don’t know what to cook for dinner. Any fast yummy meals would be great! Best of Luck!
I love your blogs and look forward to reading about Dozer in every one. Your crisp pork belly is a winner – foolproof and works every time! It must be in the book. I also love the details that you supply and never tackle the recipe until I’ve read through it to the very end. Thanks for your wonderful inspiration!
Oh my gosssssh so exciting! Your blog is my go to for new recipes and dinner inspo!
Make ahead/ storing tips are always super helpful, and I would love more “fakeaway” type meals in your new book. Your versions always stack up!
I adore you and dozer Nagi and look forward to everything you post. Like you, I’m locked down but in Melbourne and my weekends spent cooking your recipes are my pleasure currently.
I adore your Thai curries. But my request for your book would be a few healthy options and to definitely keep the nutritional value and how to store the food. I also love your substitute varieties.
Thank you sincerely for making such a meaningful difference in people’s lives through your passion. You’re very special xx
I would love to see more seafood and fish recipes maybe even one for hotpot.
Nagi, I’m so thrilled for you! Such a fantastic opportunity for you. My absolute favourite recipe of yours is Braised beef short ribs in red wine sauce. It’s a winner every time I make it. Wishing you every success!
Your recipes are all incredible. These aren’t new but the basics such as flatbread, pizza dough, pizza sauce, pancakes, crepes and perhaps crumpets (so good). Granola, slices, muffins (versatile recipe for the cook to add flavours to). Love your work.
A section on sauces would be great
So excited for you Nagi, what a fantastic opportunity. Am such a fan since we discovered you in Lockdown 2020, and must be honest we use at least one of your recipes weekly. I also started a new nutritional eating plan last year which eliminates sugar, dairy, gluten etc. And one of the things I would love are some more dressing and marinade recipes that don’t include sugar. I’m especially drawn to your Asian flavours but a lot are balanced out with sugar. Can we substitute with honey, maple syrup or agave. Also any ideas on using Nutritional yeast? I guess some Vegan recipes is what I’m looking for. Good luck and can’t wait to see what you come up with. All the best, Kate (Johannesburg)
Great news! Good luck!
Please include metric measurements. It took me a while to realize that AU cups are not the same as US. It is not important for e.g 1 t, but for a c of flour – it really helps to know you mean 150 g (not 120 like in the US). Gluten free designations would be great, as would gluten free substitutions for things like flour in baking.
In your cookbook we would love to see some of our favourite meals. Mongolian lamb, Moussaka, Italian meat balls, Thai beef salad, Golden Turmeric fish, Baklava and the superb Pavlova Christmas Tree. We have used these recipes many times over. Never had a failed recipe from your collection, but these are our specials.
Including alternative ingredients, tips on ‘ how to’ would be good in the book and gluten free would be helpful. It will be a very big book!!!!
Nagi,
We absolutely adore you in our household!
Please include the lamb shank massaman curry recipe, it is all time!!
So excited and can’t wait for your cookbook. Just love your recipes! How about something for entertaining, which could be served with minimal time in the kitchen once guests arrive and all the cooking done beforehand. And yes, with gf options please! Keep rocking… cooking xx
Your Bolognese Sauce, Lasagne Sauce and Beef Ravi recipe of yours. Pretty please!!
Very exciting — congratulations!! Creamy buttery mashed potatoes, cottage pie, burritos, Asian beef with noodles, Chinese stir fry sauce, meatloaf, beef and broccoli, smashed potatoes, and so on and so on and so on!
And broccoli chicken fritters!!
So glad I discovered your page. Use it all the time. Favourites so far are parmesan crumbed fish, General Tso’s chicken, honey garlic chicken breast, homemade sausage and egg muffin, broccoli chicken fritters, baked Mac and cheese…..
