SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.
Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

PS That’s just a mock cover!!
Finally – a cookbook!
This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.
Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.
Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….
I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!
Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.
So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂
If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.
I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.
So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).
They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!
Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!
– Nagi x
PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer
I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

Your “Oven Baked Italian Meatballs” are my favorite all the way. Would love to see them in your book.
When we were in Switzerland we had a delicious cheese based dish that was sort of like a 1 inch high frittata but much yummier. I’m sorry I don’t know what it is called but if you know what it is, I would love the recipe! Thanks for writing a cook book❤️
Great news, Nagi!
Please include the foundational recipes that make a cookbook timeless and one that gets passed on to the next generation – beef stock, white sauce, stir fry sauce, moist chocolate muffins (ok, not foundational, but essential). You know what I mean. Love your work!
Soooooo excited! Can we have a section on Thai curries….I really like your notes on what spices do what, (make it hotter, earthy tones, base flavours etc) and what u can substitute it for so that would be great. Mum had an old fashioned English cook book which had basic recipe section (pastry, how to cook sauces,) So if you could pick out fundamentals of your cooking it would be a go to section for adapting our own cooking.x
Love your baked mac & cheese. We add truffle powder and it is sublime!
Love, love, love all you and Dozer do and your recipes. Beef Burritos seems to be on high rotation in our home x
Love your recipes!
Your Chicken Byriani is one of our favourites forget takeaway.
Another is Cheats Sourdough, especially good in lockdown.
The list goes on and on…
Thankyou for your cooking inspiration.
I love your Vietnamese lemongrass chicken with rice noodle recipe but I also love the salad recipes where the dressing doubles as a marinade for the meat! I’m a big fan of things that look and taste like they are fancy to make but are actually very easy.
The Meatloaf ! My absolute favor recipe of yours that I use over and over
Congratulations, I have used your recipes over and over and love trying your new ones. I look forward to your cookbook.
Nagi, Your recipe instructions are top notch. For me, you answer every question that pops into my mind in how to cook your dishes. I am diabetic, so if you could include some new diabetic friendly recipes in your new cookbook, that would be great! Love your website, recipes, and Dozer of course! And, you too!!
I’ve made several of your recipes, but I no longer eat meat. Would you please dedicate a section of the cookbook to plant based menus? Thanks.
Tks Ann – semi vego here, so would love to see a vegetarian section too pls. And keeping the same format as the site would be fantastic as it’s very informative and great for ppl just learning to cook, as well as those who are more experienced. And title: Great Recipes No faff lol.
Congratulations Nagi!
This is the best thing that has happened in 2021!!!!!!!!!! Nagi is launching a cookbook!!!!!!!!!!!! I already know it is going to be the COOKBOOK and won’t be the last you publish (I hope).
Recommendations:
– You can’t insert a video in a book so maybe photos with what it should look like in certain steps
– Add nutritional information and (if possible) how to cut down calories for those who are trying to lose weight. The fitness community is huge but the healthy cookbooks are usually rubbish (I find). Most of your recipes already have good macros but I would make a bit more emphasis on this… I lost 10 kilos cooking your recipes and fitting them into my meal plan (IT WAS SO EASY).
-Keep adding what sides you could pair with the mains you have in the book. I don’t know what sort of classification would be best but recipes by ingredients is my go to when looking for a new one on your page…
YOU ARE THE BEST AND AN AWESOME HUMAN. YOU’LL DO GREAT.
100% agree with this!!
Healthy meals, decent amount of vegetarian meals (or at least noting down a veggo alternative/swap), fast meals, dips, easy entertaining meals. Love you Nagi!!!
First-congrats, you kitchen wizard. This is great news. Hard to choose a fave, but the malfetti… Omg what a treat, and I’d never heard of them before!
Hi Nagi, I’ve never cooked a bad recipe from your site but my faves that I always go back to are tiramisu, spaghetti Bolognese and cottage pie.
Love your massaman lamb shanks. These NEED to be in your new book. Ongoing fav in our household.
Congratulations Nagi
I have been printing out our family favourites making my own book to surprise our daughter with when she one day leaves home!!! The red and green curries are magical.
Can’t wait to buy your book.
Very excited for this!
– Dad says Creme Brûlée
– Boyfriend says Mongolian lamb
– Mum says your traditional beef burger
– I say dinner themes (i.e. your favourite Thai meals entrees and main and rice etc!) love when you have suggestions of “what to serve with” in your recipes.
All the best with creating it Nagi! Would also love a feature of recipe tin Japan 🙌
How exciting!! Whenever I want to cook something new I always check if you have a recipe for it first before looking at any others. Love your caramel slice, chicken wings, beef casserole, leek and potato soup, lamingtons, meat pies!
Hi Nagi! A cook book sounds like a great idea!
‘This one is from Nagi…that one is from Nagi too…” Is the phrase that goes along when I describe what I have prepared. Every one in my family has come to know and love your recipes. You’re my go to for most of the weekdays and weekends meals. Waiting forward for your book!
