SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.
Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

PS That’s just a mock cover!!
Finally – a cookbook!
This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.
Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.
Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….
I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!
Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.
So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂
If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.
I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.
So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).
They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!
Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!

PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer
I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

For those who live outside Aus, maybe a nice sweet Aussie dessert, which may incorporate a ‘Lamington’! I’m sure you will come up with something delicious.
Rissoles
The first ( and I still think the best) recipe I followed was the Beef Bourguignon. It was so satisfying to create and eat. And the pies I made with the leftover were delicious. Plus it just looks so good. Book worthy for sure.
I appreciate a whole complimentary menu with matching sides to choose from- like the Mexican fiesta, which my family and the long past, pre-Covid dinner guests love love love.
And your beef cheeks! You slow cooked meat is delicious 🤤
I love you Christmas baked salmon. Would love to have it in the book and the pic is so beautiful.
Spanakopita, Fish with white wine sauce, Nasi Goreng, Oven baked chicken and rice, German potato salad, Chicken biryani and Fish cakes are just some of my favourite recipes.
How nice, my favourite chef on the shelf!
What I like is the basic tips for sure (i didn’t know about flower on the chicken for example)
Maybe vegetable dishes and meat/fish separate so you can mix and match or something like advice how to combine different recipes?
And please fill it with fat and greesy cheesy things as well 🙂 but most of all keep doing what you do 😀
And lots of pictures!
Greetings from the Netherland and succes!
My most favourite recipe is the prawn mango and rissoni salad
Hi Nagi, can’t wait for your cookbook. Love so many of your recipes! so, can we please have a Soto Betawi in it please…
Would love to see the classic dishes like chilli con carne, spag bol etc and easy/quick weeknight dinners!
Asian sauces
Brand names of products you recommend
Flavour bomb recipes, quick meals, celebration meals to impress. All your usual tip notes, like freezing and reheating! Vegan ingredient alternatives. Super excited for this, big congratulations 🙂
I don’t know if I’ve seen this on your website but I would love a great Mu Shu pork recipe. Actually, I don’t care so much about the pancakes; it’s the filling that is crazy delicious. Whatever recipes you use, I know they will be amazing! Much success to you (and Dozer because his input is an integral component of the process).
Love your recipes. Like the pretend cover. Would be good to see maybe a key recipe with some alternatives, eg a marinade that could be used in different ways. Or using those leftover pastes and vegies etc. Keep up your good work. Amazed at how much you do.
Hi Nagi! Some of my favourite recipes of yours are the basics which you manage to lift to the next level, and whenever I make them they turn out amaaazing. So I would love to see some of those in the cookbook. A couple of examples I’m talking about are your roast lamb and scones.
Congrats and I can’t wait for its release!
I would love quick and tasty recipes fir chicken breasts cooked in the oven.
Also fish fillets cooked in the oven. One pan meals please . Good Luck with the new cookbook. Thank you!
Hi Nagi, how about some different kinds of sauces ?
And what to do with left over fruits? Freeze them? Make dried fruits? juices/jams?
Caribbean recipes maybe?
We love your recipes, always very tasty with great flavours.
Thank you ;))
Hi Nagi. I love love your site. I use it almost exclusively. I have never had any of your recipes fail. I can’t wait for the recipe book. I’m excited for new recipes but a little section on the basics would be great. How to cook rice etc. please. I’ve been cooking for over 40 years but your hints on basics are wonderful. Keep up the good work. Bernadette
I think everyone needs your wild rice salad recipe. All your recipes are great. I will buy it! Lots of fresh takes on salads and I love your slow cooking recipes in particular too. My family love your beef chilli
How to make the meals “Scaleable” – cooking for 2, 4, 6 etc. Family week night meals made with things you have at home that can also be frozen PLEASE.
