SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.
Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

PS That’s just a mock cover!!
Finally – a cookbook!
This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.
Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.
Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….
I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!
Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.
So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂
If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.
I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.
So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).
They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!
Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!
– Nagi x
PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer
I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

Love love love all of your recipes Nagi! Beef cheeks in red wine is soooo good, but they’re all good. Amazing easy tasty comfort food. If you could include all the allergen info (GF etc) that’d be amazing and also if the recipe is not gluten free for example but you can sub in ingredients to make it gluten free that would be great for us and I’m sure widen the appeal for many. Keep doing you Nagi, love your work!! X
Omg! I’m super excited about “our” cookbook! I found you about a year ago now and absolutely love your recipes, from the Chicken Brine, which hands down is the best, along with beef enchiladas, pasta dishes, breads, desserts, they’ve all been a hit! I found your notes you add are such a great help, such great tips, I think those are a must to keep! Thank you and Dozer for sharing your recipes and great cooking techniques! I
Can you please include some recipes for those of us who would love to be able to get stuck into some of your soooo delicious Asian cuisine but who can’t stand the heat. I’m allergic to chilies of any quantity or heat.
Something very Aussie!
I am so happy happy I’m old school and write all your recipes in a book so am very excited you are publishing a real book, I don’t care what you put in it I use only your recipes from chicken rice soup to chocolate muffins, shortbread I could go on and on thank you in so excited. Much love Linda Knight
Bun cha. One of our favourites. I make enough patties for two meals and freeze the meat.
Hi Nagi & Dozer! Can’t wait for your cookbook Every recipe I have ever made from you had been Spot On Perfect so whatever recipes you decide on is good with me. Happy cookbooking!
YAYYYY!!! So happy to hear this news, thank you Nagi! Can’t wait!
I’ve been saying for months now, if Nagi brings out a cookbook, id buy it in a heart beat!!!
Please include some favourites from your website, some of them are absolutely untouchable! (beef cheeks, roast chicken, anzac cookies, creme brulee to name a few! I’ve made all of these multiple times!)
ALl the best and cant wait to see it. If its got your name on it, we know it’ll be amazing.
Any recipe that you decide to add to your cookbook will be fantastic, please include a few of you most popular.
And can we preorder signed copies from you and perhaps Dozer😉
Also although I’m from Victoria I commend you on your Charity Meals.
I volunteer at a kitchen that SADLEY is NOT allowed to operate during lockdown.
Congratulations on using your lock down time in a productive way with plans of adding more delicious recipes to your already creative and successful site, (and cook book).
I would like more spicy vegetarian dishes, (not pastas) maybe giving a chapter in your cookbook to mostly Asian veggie dishes.
Love your humour and natural style of communicating with us, your followers.
Thank you from cold windy Scotland
Asian Recipes please. Your Drunken Noodles are a big favorite in our house.
Hainan chicken rice
A cheat’s moussaka with an easy bechemel.
Your incredible mustard and cream pork loin.
A not too complicated pho bo. With the ‘special’ bits as an option!
Everything Malaysian, but especially
Oyster omelette
Char kway teow
Nasi goreng
Everything Nonya
A laksa
A charred fried rice
A definitive roast chicken
Things with eggplant, including my new love, Thai eggplant
Southern-style barbecue ribs for the southern hemisphere clueless.
Hungarian stuff like goulash.
May be a put a classic section .. your ( your lasagne ! Superb)
May be a section on your tips they are always .
Looking forward to all that will be revealed ✌️
A creamy chicken, bacon and mushroom pie!
The recipes, I have no idea, I’ve already listed them on the recipe wish list page,
HOWEVER, what makes me reach for your website over my cook books is:
– substitution info/ideas
– pics at critical phases to “see” what it should look like at that point
– suggestions for matching sides or ways to make it a banquet
– if a recipe can be made ahead or frozen, how and when it’s best to do that
– highlighting when a slow cooker/pressure cooker can be used
-nutrition information
– Dozer 😂
Basically just your approach to the website in a book!
SO EXCITED!
I agree, Rae! I find these extra details extremely useful too and it’s another reason why I prefer Nagi’s recipes over others.
It’s going to be worth the wait👍
Recipes with freezer and reheat info would be good, quick recipes and a section for meals for couples would be nice 😊
Slow cooker too
Fried Rice, Mongolian Lamb, Honey Soy Chicken – Marinade & Sauce, Creamy Lemon Chicken Breast, Lemon Tart, Emergency Fried Rice, Croque Monsieur
I really like a cookbook to have several recipes to a spread. Whole page photos of food are a waste of precious space. The old women’s weekly cookbook format was spot on.
Congratulations Nagi!!!!
Absolutely love your recipes 😍😍😍
Can’t wait to buy and gift your cookbook 👏😁
I will send my list of favourites from your site!!!!!!!
Thanks a million Nagi
🥰
