Finally – a cookbook!

This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.

Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.

Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….

I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!

Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.

So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂

If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.

I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.

So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).

They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!

I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

    OMG !!! Yay !! This made my day! Can’t wait to purchase your book! We love all your recipes, we are basically cooking one of your recipes every night!! … would love the book to have a baking section…. Would also love some great tasty & easy ‘family’ recipes with lots of veggies ‘hidden’ in for the kiddies… would be great to have some good ‘staple’ things like awesome salad dressings & sauces which just go with whatever is in the fridge 😄! So excited! Best of luck!

    I love your recipes and been using them for years! Recently I have made your copy cat Chargrilled Charlie’s Japanese slaw a few times and I hope you add more salad recipes in your book

    Hi lovely Nagi
    You’ve been a star to me for ages – love so many of your recipes and have impressed many guests too! Have ‘shared’ you with several friends and they all love you too!

    My request.

    All your fab Chinese repertoire (esp. steamed chicken, hot and sour soup, all the wonderful homemade sauces and stir-fries).

    Plus the comfort food.

    Plus dog treat recipes! I’d love to make my own for my pooch Moogoo who has a sensitve stomack but LOVES food, (Maybe even more than Dozer….)

    Hope the book goes well – can’t wait to see it in print.

    OUR WHOLE family loves every recipe I’ve ever made from recipe tin eats. I always know when I try a new one that not only will my husband and I enjoy it but also all 4 of my boys, teens down to 10 years old. With a busy house and lots of meal prep always, I love to use simple recipes that don’t require too many ingredients,and ones that don’t take too long to make or put together to stick in the oven or slow cooker.
    And we are especially fans of all your Asian recipes! My sons love Asian food but I could never find delicious and simple recipes to know how to make them until I found recipe tin eats. So we thank you for that!!

    Love all your receipes and have tried many. Please include dump and bake fried rice, Greek pastitsio, meatloaf and Indian vindaloo. Always love you receipe notes with substitution etc. will definitely buy your cookbook can’t wait

    Nutritional information would be amazing. I would like to see different methods of cooking, like slow cooked, pressure cooked, all in one traybake. Also most of my cooking is batch cooking so knowing if a recipe is good for freezing would be a bonus. Thanks

    Can you please add the delicious One Pot Vegetable Pasta, Healthy Breakfast Cookies & just about every other recipe you have.
    You know you won’t be able to stop at one book. 😁
    If you have a recipe for an Apple Sour Cream slice, that would be wonderful

    I’m super excited for your cookbook! Absolute standouts recipes of yours which you can’t leave out include (in my opinion):
    Pork Carnitas
    Beef ragu
    Laksa
    Lamb sharmwa
    Pad see ewe
    Lemon chicken salad
    Thai coconut style soup

    I could go on and on – these are just a few of my favourites. I’m very excited for your cookbook!

    I would love healthy, family friendly recipes. A section on building the basics from broths, gravies, condiments to amazing nutrient dense meals. Old style cooking the promotes health and well being. ❤️🙌

    Congratulations Nagi. Your recipes are always reliable. My friends laugh at me when we start talking recipes because they know I’m going to recommend checking out recipe tin eats first!
    I would love to see a recipe for Pandan Chicken. Best of luck with the cookbook, am excited already :D.
