More to come! Lots, lots, lots more…. – Nagi x

Request a recipe!
I spend an inordinate amount of time deciding which recipes to share.
My biggest problem is that there are so many recipes I want to share, things that get me doing the jiggy because it’s so good but then before I dash off to film and photograph the recipe, I pause and think – will my readers get excited about this too?? Will they really go and try this?
It’s always interesting when I publish a new recipe to see how many people read it. After 4 years of blogging (that’s middle aged in Internet terms!), you’d think I’d be able to get it right 100% of the time.
And mostly, I can.
I knew you’d love the Sticky Honey Mustard Drumsticks and go bonkers over the Pad Thai and Tikka Masala. I didn’t expect you’d be clamouring for the Quiche Lorraine or Avocado Dip, and I guessed right. 🙂
But other times, you surprise me! I did not expect such an amazing response to the Homemade Pastrami from last Friday, nor that the Garlic Butter Kale Rice would become such a firm favourite!

And after all those hours of contemplating what recipes I think you want, it finally dawned on me: Why don’t I ask you??
DUH!
And so, here we are. Finally – because it took me so ridiculously to arrive at this point – FINALLY I’m asking you:
WHAT RECIPES DO YOU WANT ME TO SHARE?
Drop your requests in the comments section below!
Be as specific or as general as you want. I just ask 2 simple things:
-
Please do a quick little Search to see if I’ve already shared it!
-
No banana anything! It’s the only normal thing I can’t stand. Awful, smelly, slimy things that they are!?
{UPDATE: Scroll to the top for a list of requested recipes that I have published!}
I obviously can’t promise that I’ll share every recipe requested, being that I’m just one person who does need to sleep on occasion! But I’ll certainly share the most requested ones, and I’ll regularly pop back here when I’m planning my recipe calendar.

LIFE OF DOZER
Hairdresser appointments are always extremely productive – I get my highlights and make recipe videos. Dozer gets his pats.

Please could you do some more slow cooker recipes, including sweet cakes or a self sauce pudding. Also would love to get a recipe for an open fruit tart – apple and pear maybe? THANKS keep you the good work!
Hi Nagi! As opposed to the folk who asked for slow cooker recipes, I recently purchased an instant pot cooker and would love to see more electric pressure cooker recipes, especially Asian food. Thanks, Darryl.
I also just bought a multi cooker and would love some pressure cooker recipes!
Hi Kelly, I’ve had my new machine for a month or so now. I love it! Always looking for new ways to cook with it. If you need a hand, let me know, I can help a bit, Darryl
Hot curry paste recipes and any hot chilli condiments please.
A simple Vindaloo would be great!
Yes – second the request for a Vindaloo!
Beef Stroganoff in the slow cooker.
Could I please have some dog treat ideas?? My beautiful girls are 7 & 12 years old and the Vet wants their weight kept how it is now …no putting on the rolls!!!
Love to see a Manhattan Clam Chowder….I prefer a tomato base chowder over cream/milk any day….Keep up the great work Nagi….You have a nice personal touch here.
I like to cook authentic (as near as possible) dishes from around the world. Especially from countries we don’t hear from (food wise) too often. Iceland, Eritrea and so on. Any suggestions?
I work in Paddys market haymarket and we go to the east ocean and love shan dong chicken and salt and pepper squid i would love you to do these recipes.
Thanks
Love to see more gluten free recipes (although many can be adapted). Could you make a Massaman recipe? My favourite!
All your recipes are wonderful. I do like the Asian content plus any middle east food
I agree with the slow cooker recipes but I’m a HUGE fan of donuts and would love a simple yet delicious cinnamon donut recipe! 😊
I’m astonished and impressed with how many great recipe ideas you are able to post routinely, when I struggle just trying to think of things to make for dinner each day! Your postings are truly inspiring, and great fun to read!
I have yet to experience a vanilla slice, but imagine those might not be quite as thrilling as your caramel slice recipe, anyway, though I’m sure you’d have a superior recipe to others I’ve seen for those. However, it is not something that would blight my very existence if I never made it, so I’m pleased to read any recipe that you are moved to post. The tips you include are great too, as are many tips that your readers share, also.
And, I have a tip to share. I’d be embarrassed to reveal how long I’d been letting scallions/green onions spoil and go to waste because those are sold here in much larger bundles than I’d ever been able to use in time. Then it finally occurred to me to dice the excess green parts to store in an air-tight glass freezer container, and to put the white bulb ends in a short glass of water in a sunny location so those could sprout and regenerate fresh greens, changing the water in the glass every few days for those. I now purchase scallions only a fraction as often as I once had, waste hardly any, almost always have a fresh supply available for use, and also a freezer back-up of already diced green scallions I can resort to in a pinch or to save time when in a hurry. I don’t know why it had never occurred to me sooner to do this, but hope it can save some other readers from both wasting scallions or having to dash to a store to obtain some for a recipe, also.
I would love the takeaway recipe for sweet corn and crab meat soup and an authentic takeaway version of the oyster sauce that they use to toss vegetables in and black bean sauce – yum, yum
Do you freeze the green part or just keep in the airtight container in the fridge?
I dice and freeze the green part in an air-tight container, but a freezer bag would probably work ok too.
Hi Nagi,
I love all of your recipies no matter what theyre all great and I have used many many of them because you make them all easily understood so that any very average cook like myself can cook exciting tasty recipies. I would love to see a recipie from you for a south Indian fish curry.
Regards Rob
I would love to see more slow cooker recipes, there’s loads out there but some are so bland and use pre-made store bought ingredients. I love how your recipes are easy but always from scratch!
in the early 1970’s we called them Jamwhich cookie bars the cookie dough was I think a basic cookie dough it stayed chewy maybe a short bread ? there enough for the top and bottom of a 9X13 pan with nuts of your choice in the dough we liked walnuts and then filled with Jam topped with the other half of dough walnuts on top of that when cool cut into squares … we always used our own jams conserves jelly and Marmalade … my favorites were tomato marmalade or fig conserves
Nagi we just love your daily epistle but its impact on my productivity has caused comment at home as I can’t just read the daily recipe and end up deep within the recipe index, chuckling at your one liners or keeping up to date with Dozer.
Recipe requests
Kimchi and Coleslaws please
My cooking has gone from 0-100 when I use a Nagi recipe, but if I could have a dollar for every time I have wished for you to do some HOW-TO Posts then I’d be RICH. (Of course I’d give you half!)
Eg.
A) freezer tips on pre prepped food – how to cook various meats and then prep and store them for quick meal prep (see -https://www.blessthismessplease.com/best-way-to-cook-chicken-breast/) and also would cover IF and HOW to freeze things for optimal taste later…
B) basic veg cooking – I ruin every veg I try to roast or bake unless I follow your instructions.
C) warm packed lunch ideas to do at 7am and eat at noon/how to use leftovers for packed lunches
I SO hope you do at least packed lunches in the next 5 posts, you have no idea how much I need it. Pretty please with a cherry on top!
Thanks for everything Nagi
Dahl, Nepaplese style please
Pork or chicken Steamed bun please, thank you Nagi 😬
