Request a recipe!

I spend an inordinate amount of time deciding which recipes to share.

My biggest problem is that there are so many recipes I want to share, things that get me doing the jiggy because it’s so good but then before I dash off to film and photograph the recipe, I pause and think – will my readers get excited about this too?? Will they really go and try this?

It’s always interesting when I publish a new recipe to see how many people read it. After 4 years of blogging (that’s middle aged in Internet terms!), you’d think I’d be able to get it right 100% of the time.

And mostly, I can.

I knew you’d love the Sticky Honey Mustard Drumsticks and go bonkers over the Pad Thai and Tikka Masala. I didn’t expect you’d be clamouring for the Quiche Lorraine or Avocado Dip, and I guessed right. 🙂

But other times, you surprise me! I did not expect such an amazing response to the Homemade Pastrami from last Friday, nor that the Garlic Butter Kale Rice would become such a firm favourite!

Recent Reader Favourite Recipes - Tikka Masala, Pastrami, Pad Thai

And after all those hours of contemplating what recipes I think you want, it finally dawned on me: Why don’t I ask you??

DUH!

And so, here we are. Finally – because it took me so ridiculously to arrive at this point – FINALLY I’m asking you:

WHAT RECIPES DO YOU WANT ME TO SHARE?

Drop your requests in the comments section below!

Be as specific or as general as you want. I just ask 2 simple things:

  1. Please do a quick little Search to see if I’ve already shared it!

  2. No banana anything! It’s the only normal thing I can’t stand. Awful, smelly, slimy things that they are!?

{UPDATE: Scroll to the top for a list of requested recipes that I have published!}

I obviously can’t promise that I’ll share every recipe requested, being that I’m just one person who does need to sleep on occasion! But I’ll certainly share the most requested ones, and I’ll regularly pop back here when I’m planning my recipe calendar.

Any low carb foods that are not kale and water, there has to be some that are good tasting and not boreing.

    Hi Nagi,

I actually sent this idea to you via email last year, but never heard from you (no hard feelings, it was during the time you werent getting your emails).

My idea was a unique play on chicken & waffles. Rather than the chicken sit on top of the waffles, why coudnt you batter the chicken IN the waffle batter? Do a quick fry to seal the outside of the batter, then into the oven it would go to cook the chicken & make the outside of the coating crispy!

I think that would work! Then to further guild the lily, you could season the batter anyway you want to, to take the recipe to any country you could think of….Asain, Greek, Italian, Indian, Mexican…the options would be endless, & you could make a sause to go with it!

I hope you like the idea…and run with it!

How about a great make-ahead hot potato recipe? Every summer for the past ten years, we’ve entertained 20-25 people for a long weekend and I have yet to find a delicious ‘make-ahead’ potato recipe I can pop in the oven the last day of the event. I prep so much in advance for this weekend…still, a scrumptious hot potato recipe eludes me. Any ideas? You did post make-ahead mashed around Thanksgiving…a yummy recipe, but mashed aren’t my ideal compliment to our cold tenderloin sandwiches, chicken wings and baked whitefish. I just love every recipe you present! What a delight to have found your blog! Thank you to you and Dozer, too!

I LOVE your recipes!! and Dozer of course! I would love to see more spicy hot recipes, curries and etc. I mostly cook with chicken so that would be ultimate. How about Vindaloo? Thank you for the best recipe online!

    Two requests, if you please!

    1. More soups! I love soup, especially in winter. Vegetable soups in particular, and chowders.

    2. This one is pretty specific. Have you been to the Ferry Building in San Francisco? There’s a Japanese deli there called Delica that makes this amazing tofu ground chicken salad (the Organic Mabo Tofu Salad, here: http://www.delicasf.com/lunch-menu/). Their green been salad is pretty fantastic, too, but that’s probably just steamed green beans and sesame dressing.

    Thank you!

Hi, Alison. This is Yumiko, Nagi’s mother here. I have not been to Delica and Nagi probably hasn’t either. I have posted Mabodofu (Mabo Tofu) on my recipe blog, RecipeTin Japan but your Mabo Tofu Salad is probably a twisted version of Mabodofu. We’d have to look into this sometime.

    Nagi,

If you have a Jambalaya Recipe, I would love to see it!! I lived in New Orleans for a bit of time, and have yet to find one that is easy, somewhat healthy, and delicious!

So cool you get to bring Dozer to your hair appointments!! He looks happy. 😀

    Hello Nagi

Now I’m on my own I would like recipes which work well for one portion. I get fed up with eating the same thing two or three days running & it’s not doing my waistline any good either. I have tried using your recipe portion changer but it just jumps to 20 portions, which is the opposite of my intention of course !!!
I love the way you include the Nutrition ratings.

    Hi Nagi,
I have made some of your recipes and all of them have been fantastic. My children and girlfriend adore them too and we are so lucky to have found you and your website.
Without further ado, I would love, love, love a recipe for Jamaican curried goat please. When I lived in London, I couldn’t get enough of it and this is one recipe this Basque person would love to learn how to cook from you.

Do you have a good recipe for scotch eggs? Baked rather than deep fried? Also I have been searching for a strawberry shortcake recipe, made with a biscuit rather than a sponge!
