Request a recipe!

I spend an inordinate amount of time deciding which recipes to share.

My biggest problem is that there are so many recipes I want to share, things that get me doing the jiggy because it’s so good but then before I dash off to film and photograph the recipe, I pause and think – will my readers get excited about this too?? Will they really go and try this?

It’s always interesting when I publish a new recipe to see how many people read it. After 4 years of blogging (that’s middle aged in Internet terms!), you’d think I’d be able to get it right 100% of the time.

And mostly, I can.

I knew you’d love the Sticky Honey Mustard Drumsticks and go bonkers over the Pad Thai and Tikka Masala. I didn’t expect you’d be clamouring for the Quiche Lorraine or Avocado Dip, and I guessed right. 🙂

But other times, you surprise me! I did not expect such an amazing response to the Homemade Pastrami from last Friday, nor that the Garlic Butter Kale Rice would become such a firm favourite!

Recent Reader Favourite Recipes - Tikka Masala, Pastrami, Pad Thai

And after all those hours of contemplating what recipes I think you want, it finally dawned on me: Why don’t I ask you??

DUH!

And so, here we are. Finally – because it took me so ridiculously to arrive at this point – FINALLY I’m asking you:

WHAT RECIPES DO YOU WANT ME TO SHARE?

Drop your requests in the comments section below!

Be as specific or as general as you want. I just ask 2 simple things:

  1. Please do a quick little Search to see if I’ve already shared it!

  2. No banana anything! It’s the only normal thing I can’t stand. Awful, smelly, slimy things that they are!?

{UPDATE: Scroll to the top for a list of requested recipes that I have published!}

I obviously can’t promise that I’ll share every recipe requested, being that I’m just one person who does need to sleep on occasion! But I’ll certainly share the most requested ones, and I’ll regularly pop back here when I’m planning my recipe calendar.

I always keep the premade John West tuna and couscous/rice ‘salad’ containers in the pantry for an easy lunch. I’d love to make them at home for my husband and I to save a few $$

Hi Nagi – Love your work – and your rogan josh! That’s what got me onto you, then I found your pad Thai and a few other gems…. Thank you. Its like finding music you love – I LOVE your style 😁 The flavour profiles are right up my alley. Thank you.
I’ve done a search and not found a Kadhi curry – fancy it?

Hi Nagi, I honestly can’t think of a recipe to request because you are so amazingly comprehensive but I’d like some more fish ideas. I love fish but am not very good at cooking it or knowing types of fish for different dishes. Thanks! Suzie.

Hi Nagi & Dozer, thank you for your gorgeous recipes I have made a good few and they always taste scrumptious. Could you do a recipe like a Chinese curry, (like a takeout curry from the Chinese takeaways) I’ve tried to do this but I can’t get it as tasty. Happy new year to you and all your gang, ye work so hard all year. xx

Café near my house does the most incredible zucchini and cheese scrolls. Have tried to recreate but I’m a noob. But now I’m addicted to scrolls. These and other scrolls would be awesome.

In most Sydney cafes you will find the slice section and next to the wonderful caramel slice is a chocolate slice. With coconut and chocolate icing. As you can imagine there are a ton of chocolate slice recipes – I’ve tried them all and they aren’t it. Please help! I love it and no longer in Sydney. If anyone can crack that recipe code it’s you!

    Hi Nagi,
Looking to expand my kids repertoire and hoping to add some Egyptian dishes. You haven’t got an easy koshari recipe do you?

Hi Nagi, I would love to see your take on a Gateau Basque. It’s possibly my favourite cake. The recipe I have uses an almond flavoured pastry dough with vanilla custard in the middle. Sometimes I add sliced strawberries inbetween the layers for fun. My only gripe with my current recipe is getting the quantities right for the dough (the stated amount never seems to be big enough for the cake tin), plus I find the dough very fiddly when putting into the tin – children, cover your ears! No doubt you’ll have some clever tricks!

    Thanks, Nagi!

I am looking for a good fruitcake recipe. I have tried two different one and they are more of a pudding cake. I’m looking for something that has more of a texture to it. Thanks.

Baked crispy calamari or squid. Either crumbed or salt and pepper. Kind of like fried calamari, only baked.
Love you Navi. My family now roll their eyes every time I brag about how amazing you are!

When we were kids, my Mum used to make a cheese ball for dinner parties. It was delicious! A bit 0s retro of course. Now she can’t remember what was in it. I know it had grated tasty cheese, mustard and possibly french onion soup and cream cheese. It definitely had toasted sesame seeds on the outside because that was my job. Bring back the yummy cheeseball please Nagi!
